Over €1,831 has been raised for Roscommon Safe Link thanks to the efforts of Megan Lyons and Louise Thomas, who recently completed the Valentia Half Marathon in support of the charity’s work with domestic abuse.
The pair took on the 21-kilometre challenge on Saturday, April 19th, at 9:30am in Knightstown on Valentia Island, Co. Kerry.
Their participation aimed to honour those who have experienced domestic violence and to raise funds to help sustain the vital support services provided by Roscommon Safe Link.
Roscommon Safe Link has extended their heartfelt thanks to both runners, stating: “We’re incredibly proud of Megan and Louise for their commitment and courage. Their efforts will make a real difference in the lives of those we support.”
