Roscommon Safe Link Joins Community Fun Day in Castlerea

Roscommon Safe Link was delighted to take part in the Community Fun Day held on Friday, June 13th at the Further Education and Training (FET) Centre in Castlerea.

The event, organised by Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB) in partnership with Roscommon Leader Partnership, brought together local services and community members for an afternoon of fun and engagement.

The event combined light-hearted activities such as face-painting, ice cream, and treats with an important community information session, offering residents the opportunity to learn more about local supports and services.

Organisations including MABS, Citizens Information, GRETB, Roscommon Leader Partnership, and Roscommon Safe Link were in attendance.

Representing Roscommon Safe Link were staff members Rebecca Donohue and Sarah Jane Martin, who hosted an information stand to raise awareness about the organisation’s support services for those affected by domestic abuse.

Attendees had the chance to speak with staff, collect information, and find out how Roscommon Safe Link can offer help and guidance.

Following on from successful events in Ballaghaderreen and Roscommon Town, the Castlerea Fun Day was the latest stop in a growing series of community outreach efforts aimed at building awareness and strengthening local connections.

Roscommon Safe Link would like to thank the organisers and everyone who took the time to stop by and chat.
