At Roscommon Safe Link we offer confidential information, support and counselling to women in or who have left domestic violence or abusive situations. We currently offer an array of services and programmes to clients.

The services we offer clients include:

Crisis Response

  • Immediate crisis response to women and men, over the telephone, in person and as an outreach service.
  • Advocacy and accompaniment to Court, Gardai, Legal Aid, Social Services and other services as required.
  • Referrals to relevant agencies as required.
  • Applications to Court Services and Legal Aid.
  • Guidance, information and understanding of domestic abuse for those indirectly affected.

The programmes we offer clients include:

  • Breaking the Cycle of Abuse
  • Managing Trauma
  • Aftercare Support


This is  a psycho-educational program to raise awareness and understanding on how the cycle of abuse begins, develops and escalates over time within the intimate relationship. This program runs on Tuesday morning from 10.30 to 12.30.

Managing Trauma is a step by step therapeutic programme for recovery from the abuse experienced. It explores the root causes of trauma, assisting individuals to recognise the signs and how to manage and avoid traumatic situations in the future. It is aimed at individuals who have experienced and endured abusive situations and raises awareness around the effects of abuse in intimate relationships. Healing and recovery techniques, are explored during this programme.

This is a two-hour aftercare support group for those who completed our other programmes and wish to avail of long-term support. Here, clients can discuss individual dilemmas and find shared solutions. The group offers progression and an opportunity for self-development and personal growth.



Counselling is available for those who wish to avail of it.

Provide outreach Clinics in Ballaghaderreen, Castlerea, Roscommon Town and other locations further to demand.


Awareness-rising and education for professionals, transition year students and other community groups as required.
